Kimann blogged at Huffington Post from May 2013 through January 2018. She is an advocate for Free Speech and Freedom of Expression, in particular through creative expression. Kimann’s article supporting artistic expression as an alternative to violent expression was featured at Americans for the Arts. Her HP articles included Arts advocacy & appreciation, film & TV review, politics, parenting, fashion & style as well as pop sociological commentary. Kimann also produced a podcast series, Fashion News & Muse.
Kimann’s essay “Do What You Have to Do” was included in the 2012 release, THIS I BELIEVE: ON MOTHERHOOD. She contributed an introductory piece to Carmelo Blandino’s Monograph, IN BLOOM. Kimann served as the Meridian-Kessler Home Tour artist for a total of 5 years. She also writes & performs original songs with her husband, Michael. Their three-song EP, “Earthbound Ethereal,” is available on iTunes and at Amazon. Music videos for “Beautiful Rage,” and “Spirit of Christmas,” are available on YouTube.
A self-described “Pollyanna Polemic,” Kimann is the author of a full-length novel entitled THE COMFORTABLE MAN, a script-stye novella entitled, “Jacob,” numerous short stories & fairy tales, and a full-length collection of poems & lyric poetry, RUGS ON PUDDLES COATS OVER OCEANS.
